Morningside After Dark is a free winter storytelling and live music series warming up the coldest months in Minnesota with 15 live performances woven together by a monthly theme. Dissonance is proud to be a resource for the "Second Chances" event on January 29. The 2018 Morningside After Dark Live Music and Storytelling series now in its sixth year presents you with one winter night a month to come out of hibernation and find community with the amazing music and literary talents in our midst. Kicking things off on Monday, January 29th for "Second Chances" are stories by Nancy Carlson, Ifrah Mansour, Maureen Millea Smith, Michael S Bazzett, Elizabeth Foy Larsen, Lester Batiste and Kate Anne Gjerde mixed with even more music by Adam Levy, Sarah E Morris, Waltzing on Waves, Doug Collins, Rachelle LaNae Smith, Vicky Emerson-Wallace, Steve Diedrich and the Morning Side Project, Paul Seeba, Annalise Glick, Emily Youel, and our amazing sound engineer George Scot McKelvey with co-host - and Dissonance board member! - Katy Vernon. The event is FREE and donations appreciated. Doors open at 7pm, show starts promptly at 7:30 pm and runs continuously until 9 pm.
