Ride for Justice (with Twin Cities Recovery Project)

  • Twin Cities Recovery Project 3400 East Lake Street Minneapolis, MN, 55406 United States (map)

Twin Cities Recovery Project (TCRP), in collaboration with fellow nonprofit Dissonance, has organized the inaugural “Ride for Justice” 2020 Bike Well Series to foster community, promote recovery and wellness, and raise further awareness about systemic racism and unjust disparities faced by Black Minnesotans—particularly those impacted by opioids, other substance use, trauma and mental health concerns.

Held over the course of five Saturdays and kicking off during National Recovery Month and National Suicide Prevention Month, the series also represents a five-week campaign to raise funds supporting the outreach, peer support and other direct resources provided by TCRP.

  • Sept. 19: round trip from Minneapolis to state Capitol in St. Paul for Minnesota Recovery Connection’s 2020 Virtual Walk for Recovery “Picture Recovery” Pop-Up Event (16 miles)

  • Sept. 26 and Oct. 3 and Oct. 27: casual, social, no-drop rides, each featuring a pit stop for fellowship (10-15 miles total)

  • Oct. 10: “Ride for Justice” and Community Resource Fair—casual ride at 10 am, and a resource fair from 1 to 4 pm, with music by Lewiee Blaze and others, food, games, masks, sanitizer, fellowship and support.

Join us for any or all of the rides, share the dates with others, come to the community rally and fair on 10/10, and/or support the cause in other ways, including with an online donation at twincitiesrecoveryproject.org/contact-us.
