Join Dissonance for our third annual Unhappy Holidays event, an alternative holiday gathering during "the most wonderful time of the year." Bombarded by office gatherings, happy hours, awkward family dinners — or just feeling a little isolated? This no-alcohol, no-expectations, healthy-environment event is free and open to the public, and features some of the most interesting entertainers sharing their stories, comedy and music for a low-key event where you can come as you are. We also will provide light, healthy refreshments; a variety of resource tables from our community partners; and plenty of time to mingle if you choose.
This year's talented guests include musician Lydia Liza, comedian Brandi Brown, playwright Saymoukda Vongsay, and musician Christopher Tait. They'll perform and engage in brief conversations with the Dissonance hosts about their art, the dissonance they experience in their lives, and how they stay well. Portrait artist Katy Larson also will exhibit at the event. Everyone is welcome and the event is free, but capacity is limited so registration is necessary. Reserve your spot, and learn more about the featured artists, here. We pay our artists and vendors, and don't charge our guests. If you'd like to support this mission, you can make donations at the door or anytime online.
